Scientific Background

The IDRIA Concept brings structure and standardization to autologous regenerative therapies.

AutologIX by IDRIA Concept is a dual-technology system that isolates and concentrates exosomes and other plasma-derived regenerative molecules from the patient’s own blood — combining the precision of IDRIA G plasma preparation with the selectivity of ProtSmart 6 ultrafiltration.

In every human body, healing depends on communication between cells. This communication occurs through exosomes, nanosized vesicles (30–150 nm) that transport RNA, proteins, and signaling molecules between cells.

They act as the “language” of regeneration, coordinating how tissues respond to inflammation, injury, or aging.

Platelet-derived exosomes are particularly potent messengers. They activate fibroblasts, stimulate angiogenesis, regulate immune activity, and promote collagen synthesis. While traditional PRP relies on soluble growth factors, AutologIX  focuses on the exosome fraction — where the true regenerative information resides.

By concentrating these exosomes within their natural plasma environment, AutologIX delivers a purely autologous, reproducible, and biologically active concentrate — optimized for safety, standardization, and clinical performance.

The Scientific Rationale

The IDRIA Concept is based on one principle: regeneration should be both biological and reproducible. To achieve that, the system unifies two steps into one continuous process:

This combination reproduces the natural healing microenvironment — preserving exosomes, proteins, cytokines, and fibrin while eliminating unnecessary plasma volume and salts.

Exosomes and extracellular vesicles (EVs) are central to this concept: they are small enough to cross biological barriers, but powerful enough to modulate gene expression and cellular behavior. Their role extends beyond growth factor release — they orchestrate repair at the molecular level.

PREPARATION WORKFLOW

Step 1

PREPARE PLASMA WITH IDRIA G

Blood is collected into 2 IDRIA G tubes (2*23ml blood).  Centrifugation separates the red cells from the plasma fractions (PRP + PPP), maintaining the integrity of platelets and exosomes.

Step 2

CONCENTRATE WITH PROTSMART 6

The combined plasma (approx. 24 mL) is transferred to ProtSmart 6 for ultrafiltration. The 15 kDa membrane allows water and salts to pass through while retaining exosomes, proteins, and cytokines. Within 8 minutes, the plasma is reduced to a target volume of 6-8ml.

Step 3

RECOVER THE EXOSOME-RICH CONCENTRATE

The final product is a cell-free, exosome-enriched plasma concentrate, standardized by defined time, speed, and volume parameters. It contains the patient’s own exosomes, cytokines, and plasma proteins in a physiologic balance that supports repair and regeneration.

Mechanism

The regenerative effects of autologIX arise from the combined actions of exosomes and their plasma co-factors:

EXOSOME COMMUNICATION

Exosomes deliver genetic and protein instructions that activate nearby cells. They stimulate fibroblasts and endothelial cells, encourage angiogenesis, and promote the synthesis of collagen and extracellular matrix. This restores cellular coordination and supports tissue organization.

GROWTH FACTOR AND CYTOKINE SYNERGY

The concentrate retains platelet-derived growth factors — PDGF, VEGF, TGF-β, IGF-1 — and cytokines such as IL-10 and TGF-β. These molecules amplify the biological effect of exosomes, guiding repair and improving microcirculation at the treatment site.

ANTI-INFLAMMATORY MODULATION

Exosomes regulate immune signaling by reducing pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-1β, TNF-α) and promoting reparative macrophages (M2 type). This reduces inflammation, swelling, and discomfort, allowing regeneration to occur faster and more efficiently

TISSUE REMODELING
